Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Apple.
Sales Associate
The Apple interview process is really polished and structured, but still feels warm and human. It’s mostly behavioural and scenario-based, very values-driven, and it focuses a lot on teamwork, curiosity, and being obsessed with the customer. The vibe stays friendly, organised, and consistent, with interviewers who ask thoughtful follow-up questions but remain supportive and positive. Overall, it comes across as professional, inclusive, and surprisingly intuitive — like they’re trying to understand who you are, not just what you can do.

Sales Associate
I am autistic. I ended up in a video interview with 5 other candidates, and they were all a lot more talkative than me. I thought it would be a one-on-one interview, but instead I got hit with a bunch of questions that I couldn’t answer with any real confidence. As someone who loves Apple and stays up-to-date on their products, I was VERY disappointed with how this turned out. I’m really hoping I can get another chance to interview one-on-one instead.

Retail Sales Associate
Glassdoor, I am writing to share feedback about my recent experience during the hiring process for a temporary part-time position at Apple in Tampa. I applied online over a year ago and after a long wait, I was finally contacted to move on to the next step, which was an online assessment. After I completed the assessment, I waited around a month before getting an invitation for an in-person interview, which I attended. In the interview, I was in a group with four other candidates who had different educational backgrounds, like accounting, business administration, and engineering, and some were former Apple employees. I believe my strong sales background, good communication skills, and ability to connect with customers helped my presentation. However, I felt the communication during the whole process was inconsistent and not as informative as I expected. I also felt the interview seemed a bit superficial, maybe influenced by diversity or quota factors. This made me unsure about how my qualifications really matched the role requirements. In the end, I was told I would not be moving forward to the next stage. I do appreciate the chance to interview, but I think the company could improve its communication to give candidates clearer feedback and expectations during the hiring process. I still support Apple and hope the hiring experience keeps getting better.
