It was a really long interview process with 3 rounds, which felt like a waste of time, especially getting ready for the case study presentation and all the effort I put into it. I was disappointed I didn't get any feedback on why I was rejected. Another thing that's unreasonable is hiring someone to fill two other positions in one! That's a big red flag! They expect UX Designers to write content and do research, and they don't have dedicated UX content writers or a research team. So you'd end up playing all those roles simultaneously.
It was three steps: first a recruiter screening, then a management review, and finally a case study presentation. The presentation had a specific format and was with a panel, though not everyone who was supposed to be there showed up. The panel didn't ask many questions. One person on the panel seemed really annoyed to be there. Honestly, with how much overtime I'm already dealing with, this whole thing felt like a disrespectful waste of my time.
While the interviewers (Hiring Manager and UX Leads) were very professional, the recruiter I was in touch with was very unresponsive and I had to follow up with him several times, due to which the whole process took 60 days. The 3rd round was over the phone with 4 UX leads, I thought it was hard to gauge their reaction/interest over my answers. A face to face would have been more helpful in having a better discussion. It felt like I was just talking in a dark room with different voices!
