AppFolio Manager interviews, decoded.

The HR team managed the interview process smoothly, keeping me informed about the next steps. The hiring team was friendly and thorough. The company culture was evident throughout the interviews, which was a great aspect.

The interview experience at Appfolio was professional, organized, transparent and very enjoyable. I had a total of 9 interviews, over a period of 2 weeks. I spoke with team members from all levels of the company, entry, middle and upper management.

So, before the actual interview, I had two phone screens, one with an external recruiter and then the hiring manager. The main interview day was long but really good, everyone was super nice. It consisted of 5 separate 45-minute one-on-one interviews, so it was a pretty significant time commitment. After the interviews, I felt like I was almost ghosted. The internal recruiter mentioned they'd get back to me within a week. A week passed, I followed up, and they pushed the timeline back again. I ended up following up three times in total before I just gave up. Then, a full three months later, the external recruiter finally let me know that I hadn't been selected.
