AppDynamics Consultant interviews, decoded.

The interview has 6 phases, including 2 technical ones. The first technical phase involves programming questions over the phone. The final phase is a project that needs to be completed in two days using a programming language you're not very familiar with.

Had a Telephonic interview that covered the basics of AppD and asked several experience-based questions. They also asked about my previous clients and the work I've done for them using AppD and other monitoring tools such as Splunk.

I applied online and a Sr. Recruiter named Scott Rogers contacted me right away. He was really professional and made sure I totally got what the role is about day-to-day. Scott quickly set up my first phone interview with the hiring manager, then a technical round with another consultant. Both were mostly technical. Having AppD experience beforehand is a plus. After that, I had an onsite 1:1 with the hiring manager. The whole process was fast, and Scott deserves credit for getting the offer out quickly because I was also interviewing elsewhere, but they were taking their usual time.
