It was pretty simple. Applying was easy and the questions were easy since I'm a student! They're looking for people who are punctual and hardworking. Standard interview questions, nothing technical. Expect them to ask more about your personal goals and personality rather than your work history.
The department chair's short notice and the overall lack of engagement from the interviewees made for a disappointing interview experience. While three faculty members were present, only the department chair actively participated in the conversation. The other two faculty members remained silent, making their inclusion seem unnecessary. The interview felt rushed and impersonal, with little opportunity for meaningful dialogue or feedback. Overall just a waste of my time.
The interview process was very disorganized. The panel members were late. It started with personal questions instead of technical ones, which was odd for a technical role. The interviewers seemed to lack knowledge about digital marketing or the job itself, asking irrelevant questions. After the interview, I was left waiting for two months despite following up multiple times, only to be informed someone else got the job. The employer needs to improve their speed and communication, especially considering the office name.
