So, I had an interview for a Java Developer role. The process was kind of a mess, not really organized. I got a call asking if I could do the interview in like 4-5 hours. They said if I couldn't, I might not be considered, which felt pretty unprofessional. It was a video interview. They asked basic and advanced Java syntax questions. What really disappointed me was that they weren't focused on concepts, but more on syntax and APIs. The recruiter was also unhelpful, not even emailing the results after I followed up a lot.
The process went through a few topics starting from the basics and getting more advanced and detailed. They asked for examples and did some testing. Some of the topics covered were java core, jee, design patterns, ejb, jsp, servlets, java web, and they also asked random questions about my personal life and hobbies.
I went through an interview process at Apexon, which involved about three rounds, including an HR round. After I submitted all my documents, HR didn't get back to me, so I'm not sure what happened. I suspect it might have been a compensation issue.
