The interview was conducted by the department head and an HR representative. It started with the employer presenting the department and the position. Then I introduced myself. We discussed what the onboarding phase would look like. We also toured the office spaces and met the team.
The interview process was basic and simple. It was more about company fit. The interviewer made me feel relaxed, and the interview was held in a relaxed atmosphere. My airfare was paid for both ways to attend the interview.
I received a call from the company inviting me to their office in Bhopal at a specific time. Upon arrival, I had to wait for an extended period, about four to five hours. The HR staff did take me to lunch and collected my travel tickets, but it felt like they were just going through the motions rather than trying to make the waiting candidate comfortable. The interview eventually happened, and surprisingly, it quickly turned to my salary expectations. The skill-based questions asked weren't very effective in assessing my actual job performance. It became apparent they were hesitant about my salary expectations, and I never heard back after the interview.
