It was a 4-round process. First, there was an initial screening interview. Then, I had an interview with my direct supervisor. Finally, there were two panel interviews with 2-3 people from different teams I'd be working with. All the interviews were pretty conversational, but they still mattered and helped me get a feel for who I might be working with.
The first step was a phone screen with HR. It went pretty smoothly and was a good experience overall. We also set up the next meeting with the hiring manager during this call.
So, there were like 5 interviews total. It started with HR, then I spoke with a staff manager, then two different groups of people I'd be working with, and then I had another chat with the staff manager again. All the interviews were either on the phone or online.
