Ancestry Manager interviews, decoded.

There were 4 interviews in total. The first two were with an HR specialist, the second one being with an HR specialist from the US. After the second interview, I was offered the role of Team Manager instead of Team Leader. The third interview was a 2-hour face-to-face meeting with the HR specialist and the Operations Manager. This included responding to a customer email, providing 1-on-1 feedback to an agent, and a 1-hour CV-based interview with the Operations Manager. The fourth interview was with the HR manager via Skype. Although I didn't get the position, they provided helpful feedback afterwards. It was a lengthy process, but overall a positive and pleasant experience.

I was contacted pretty fast by the recruiter. The whole process moved along quickly and smoothly. The recruiter was great at communicating and getting back to me. They asked a good mix of questions about my behavior and my skills. The recruiter also talked about salary expectations right at the beginning.

Started with a recruiter chat for about 10-15 minutes, just going over my background and resume. Then, I had a second interview with the hiring manager, and that's where things really went south. She first apologized for being in a noisy place, making it hard to hear her, and then she got my resume mixed up with someone else's, totally unaware of who she was actually speaking with. The whole thing felt super unprofessional.
