I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. The recruiter was pleasant and scheduled a phone screen which went well. Next, I was supposed to have a call with someone in the department, but she missed it. The recruiter apologized and rescheduled, but the person missed the second call too! She eventually called about 30 minutes late, sounding very stressed and disorganized, like she was overworked and undervalued. She mentioned I'd speak with a senior employee, who then took the call while walking outside in a busy city, making it hard to hear due to traffic noise.
The interview process was well-structured and the questions asked were good. They made me feel comfortable during the interview. It was a pretty straightforward process, not too long, and I had time to ask questions at the end.
The interview process was great until the very end. I was ghosted after being told I was a final candidate. I sent follow-up emails and got responses saying they hadn't made a decision but would know by the end of the week. After that, there was no communication, no email, no call, nothing. I felt this was unprofessional, and as a final candidate, I expected some communication.
