Candidate-reported interview process

Had a phone interview that was about 20 minutes. Then a second phone interview, this one went for almost an hour and was mostly talking to get a sense of how I interact. After that, I had an on-site interview where 2 managers talked to me at the same time. They asked mainly about my past projects, production support experience, and if I knew Microsoft products.

It was a really nice, chill, one-on-one chat. No curveballs or anything unexpected. They told me about what they do, their projects, and how busy they get, and I talked about how my skills and experience fit with that. The key was to just chill, pay attention to what they were saying (don't get caught up thinking about keywords), and just give a simple, direct answer. It felt like they cared a lot about personality and if you'd fit in with their vibe — just be yourself.

The interview process was poor. The HR department would not document the offer in writing. I worked as a contract to hire through an agency. After 4 months, I realized how rough the environment was and asked for more money, which caused issues.
