Amplify Project Manager interviews, decoded.

The interview process started with a recruiter screen, followed by a performance task, and then two more rounds of interviews. Honestly, the whole experience was quite frustrating. The communication was really poor. They'd give you the impression you'd hear back soon, but then silence. If you tell a candidate they'll hear back soon, you really should follow up, no matter the outcome.

It began with a 30-minute screening chat, followed by a one-hour interview with the hiring manager. Then, there was a one-hour panel interview. After that, I had to complete a performance task, which involved creating a presentation and rubric, estimated to take 3 hours. Finally, there was a wrap-up interview to discuss the performance task.

The recruiter was a bit late and had some audio issues, but then asked 7 quick questions about my knowledge of Amplify, my interest in the role, my availability, salary expectations, my ability to learn and teach new tech, my experience with project management software, and my past experiences with it (good and bad, with examples). They mentioned I'd hear back in 2-3 days, that there would be a take-home performance test with a 48-72 hour turnaround, and that the hiring manager interviews would start soon with two rounds before the potential start date. I got to ask questions, and later that day, I was updated on my status.
