First, there was a recruiter screen, then I talked to someone who would be reporting to me. After that, there was an interview loop. The last step was meeting with the CPO, who would have been my boss. Honestly, I thought the order was a bit off. It would have made more sense to start with my manager and then go through the other people.
I was referred by an employee, and the whole process was very smooth and quick. The recruiter was highly engaged, transparent, and responsive throughout the process. The interviews with 4 fairly senior folks on the team were focused on specific areas of expertise and company values. All the interviews felt very natural and conversational, which was a great sign in terms of getting to know and liking the people I would be working with.
The recruiting team did a fantastic job keeping me updated and providing information. A+ on communication. After my first phone interview, my information was passed on to the hiring manager who opted not to move forward. Great, even though I didn’t move forward.
