The interview process was long and very intensive, with many rounds. The company seems to be in a period of growth and settling down after an acquisition. It's not as focused on AI as some other edtech companies right now.
The interview was unprofessional. The interviewers didn't introduce themselves and immediately started asking questions. I was given a take-home assignment that I completed, and then it was used during the interview. While this is acceptable, they didn't mention beforehand that it would be used in the interview.
It was 4 rounds of interviews, no live coding, no system design, nothing special, mainly behavioral. It seemed like none of the interviewers were really prepared or knew what the role is gonna be about. In each round (including the last one with a C-level), they said I did very well and if it's up to them I would get an offer. Since eventually I didn't get an offer with no feedback provided, it seemed like a pipeline role or an internal hire.
