They really sold me on the potential income, saying I could make way more than anyone would reasonably expect. They claimed I'd be working with leads who specifically requested to speak with me, which turned out not to be true. They also said I could start earning money within a month or two, which was also false. What they definitely didn't mention was that I wouldn't be able to work in this industry for at least 18-24 months after leaving Amerilife. I could keep going, but I think you get the idea.
I got a call to schedule the interview, then I went in and the front desk person said hi and the manager interviewed me. The manager was really clear about how the company operates and explained that this career path could change my life.
They checked my background to make sure it was clean and asked if I was self-motivated.
