The security and HR staff were really nice and made me feel welcome. The place has a good vibe and everyone working there was friendly. The recruiters do a great job of working with candidates to help them get a clear picture of the job and the department. They are very thorough in getting candidates ready for the interview. The interviews were very informative, and they explained the company well before asking any questions. Recruiters also share good information about candidates with the company to help fill open roles.
I applied online and got a call from HR for a quick 10 min screen. After that, I had a phone chat with the SVP about the role, and then the hiring manager. I met the hiring manager in person for about an hour and they asked me standard interview questions. It felt like they were more into our vibe and personalities than my specific answers. I liked the people and the office, it made me want to work there.
I went through a pretty standard interview process for a PM role. It involved one-on-one chats with the hiring manager, a team member, and someone else. However, there was a mix-up with the schedule and I didn't get to talk to everyone. My tip for others interviewing here: if they ask you to confirm your interview times by email, definitely call your contact at Amerigroup to double-check that everyone's calendars are up-to-date. Otherwise, you might end up like me where one person didn't have the interview on their schedule and wasn't free.
