Candidate-reported interview process

The HR folks were pretty standard and cool. The hiring manager, however, acted like they were interviewing for a C-suite position at Google. There were a lot of questions that seemed unrelated to the job, and some writing tasks that took up too much time given the salary offered.

Went through 4 remote interviews/contacts with the company, meeting with direct managers twice, the hiring manager, and an HR manager. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up or response to requests for updates from any of them.

I applied online and a week later a hiring rep reached out to set up a phone interview. After that, I was told I got a second round with the department head, but then they ghosted me. I later saw the job posting again, but it was for a contract position instead of full time, and they never told me. The hiring rep also stopped responding to my emails.
