The interview was straightforward and focused on my educational abilities and my understanding of a student's possible needs in the classroom. Scenarios were given to help guide the interview for both the interviewer and interviewee. They also asked about possible conflict resolution methods for a student who is struggling with a subject or assignment.
The interview process gave me plenty of time to get ready and finish the writing sample. I was informed 10 days in advance about the teaching demonstration topic. The panel consisted of 8 people, but they didn't really interact with me or ask follow-up questions.
The hiring process went on for more than three months. When I first applied, I wasn't immediately hired because they needed a lot of staff at that time. After waiting for three months, they called me back and offered me the job, which I accepted and started right away.
