Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process felt long for what I felt was a low-level job. It included three 30-minute one-on-one interviews and one 30-minute interview with three interviewers. I was pretty wiped out by the end. Although they offered me water, I didn't get the job. The recruiter told me I didn't "fit the culture." They gave me a quick tour of the lab. The team members wanted me to be super open and act like we were already friends, which led to conversations not related to the job and wasn't helpful.

They were very thorough in the interview. The people interviewing me shared a lot of info about their jobs and their mission. They took me on a tour, and the facility was pretty big and interesting.

It was a pretty extensive interview process. I interviewed with the head of the lab, two separate groups of lab techs, and an HR employee. It was almost a 3-hour interview in total. Unfortunately, I didn't get an offer because of my personality.
