I had two interviews, the first was with a recruiter and the second was with the call center manager. They both seemed really nice and motivated. It was very professional. They were very upfront about what the job entails. They asked me some personal and professional questions. They seemed to care about whether I would fit into their work environment and how professional I would be.
The interview process was thorough, involving extensive questions about my background and how I saw myself fitting into the industry. They also checked my references and had a script they wanted me to memorize, which was quite challenging. I felt they did a good job vetting candidates and were fair regarding expectations and opportunities. It was a 3-4 part phone interview process that concluded with an in-person meeting. I can't comment on the company itself, but I did read the founder's book and have seen him on CNBC. The company has been established for a long time and operates in a business focused on helping business owners embrace necessary changes to improve their companies.
The interview process felt shorter than I anticipated. The HR representative, while engaging, seemed a bit unprofessional. They provided an overview of American Management's history, outlined my potential territory and responsibilities, and explained the company's sales process, benefits, and training. I also toured the facility and met some staff members who appeared friendly. However, I noticed the call center, responsible for appointment setting, seemed understaffed, which raised a concern. The HR rep claimed many were on vacation, which I later suspected was untrue as the facility was consistently less than half full. This small staff size appears to limit appointment generation.
