American Heart Association Event Manager interviews, decoded.

The interview process was good overall. There were many questions. They provided helpful information about events on their website. All interviews were conducted online. They communicated and provided information in a timely manner. Conversations with staff were helpful to learn about the work they do, the community they serve, and the job accountabilities.

My first interview was supposed to be with HR, but the rep didn't show up. They only reached out to reschedule days later. For the second interview, the HR rep was 10 minutes late without any prior notice. After that, I didn't hear anything back for 2 months. I was pretty surprised by the lack of organization and communication, especially since the company seems to have a great culture based on what I've read. I expected them to be more organized.

I sent in my application online and right away got an email for a one-way video interview. I did that (5 questions, 3 minutes each) and then a week later, HR got in touch. They set up a Zoom interview with my potential supervisor and their boss. It was under an hour and went really well. They asked pretty direct questions and seemed genuinely curious about my past work.
