It's a pretty long interview process, but they want to make sure they hire someone who can represent the company well, especially since they are based far from HQ. The last stage involves a 1-2 day trip to Birmingham where you'll meet with several managers. They cover your travel expenses and are very helpful during this stage.
I only talked to the recruiter for this role. They said I was a 99% match for the skills and experience. The recruiter asked me what year I graduated college, which felt like an indirect way of asking my age. I'm over 50, so it's not too hard to figure out! The recruiter seemed inexperienced and not very good at interviewing. ACIPCO needs to do better!
I had two interviews. First was a quick chat with the hiring manager. Then I met with the director of information services and a recruiter. I felt it wasn't too tough. When I interviewed, they were just starting their data science division, so they likely wanted someone with more experience.
