American Apparel Sales Representative interviews, decoded.

I went down to the Wholesale office downtown. They showed me around the showroom and the place I'd be working. I met some of the team, and the interviewer went over my resume while asking me stuff about my past jobs. He asked about hobbies too, since they seem to like hiring creative people. He basically sold the job to me, saying I could start in sales and then move to other departments like design if I wanted. It wasn't a tough interview; they just want to see if you've got some customer service experience.

3 interviews in a row on the same day at the company headquarters. HR called beforehand, then on-site with the HR Director, then with the management team, and finally with the direct collaborator.

I went in for an interview at the store. I was asked three questions about how I can best provide great customer service, what my best and worst qualities are, and to give an example of a time I provided great service. I also had to wear AA clothing.
