We met in a conference room for a group interview. It wasn't with HR people, and it lasted about 30 minutes. They asked about my previous work experience. The interviewer seemed to have issues with the company I worked for before and took out their bad experience on me, finishing with 'there are no jobs here for people from xxxxx'.
I applied for Passenger Service Agent in July and heard back from a recruiter 4 months later to set up an in-person interview. I went through a group panel interview at the airport and got a conditional offer less than 2 weeks later. (A few of my colleagues had to do two interviews, but I only had one.) Following the conditional offer, I completed a 10-year background check, which involved collecting and sending in documents via email or fax. After the background check, I had a drug/medical test and fingerprinting before they finalized my start date. The whole process took about 6-8 weeks.
There was a group interview in front of a board. It's easy for someone else to jump in with an answer if you're not quick. They asked questions unrelated to the actual job, mostly to gauge your personality and mindset.
