A interview was conducted by a human and the process was very smooth. Basically, they asked me about my previous experiences and what I could contribute if selected. Finally, I took a specific knowledge test.
The interview process includes standard behavioral questions. It starts with a recruiter call, followed by a manager interview, and concludes with an interview with upper management panel. Panels are a terrible interview style and can be misleading as companies might string candidates along if they've already chosen someone, just to appear fair.
First, I had a screening interview with the recruiter. It was hard to hear because of loud banging noises and sounds of walking in heels on wood floors in the background. The recruiter seemed really distracted. After that, I had an onsite interview. They said I'd get a yes or no about the job after the onsite. I never heard back, so I waited two weeks and emailed the recruiter for an update, but they never responded. The recruiter ghosted me. I thought this was a great company, and the department director even said it's like a family. But the recruiter totally ruined my impression. Couldn't they at least send an automated rejection email?
