The interview process for this role started with a phone screen with someone from People and Impact, followed by a second interview with the VP of Collective Action. I didn't make it to the next stages, which would have included an assignment and then two more interviews. I found it concerning that a role like this, which feels more like middle management, would have five stages plus an assignment, and I think assignments can be a way for companies to get free work.
These roles might not be real. After the first interview, they ask for a time-consuming work project. Once they are happy with it, you'll get a second interview for "feedback." They will compliment your work and then send you a rejection email. Months later, the same jobs are posted again and again, allowing them to get free work from many qualified candidates.
I had an initial interview. The interviewer mentioned they'd follow up since I applied for multiple roles and encouraged me that more opportunities would arise if I wasn't selected. However, after that interview, I never received any communication, not even a rejection.
