The interview process was straightforward and respectful. I was asked multiple times about my comfort levels and offered additional training opportunities.
It was an easy interview with a mix of standard questions, behavioral questions, and scenario-based questions. They asked if I had a current driver's license and reliable transportation. Common questions were about handling difficult clients or situations, like when a client is unhappy or refuses care (eating, bathing, medication). They also asked about how I'd handle medical emergencies alone, how to resolve conflict with managers or clients, my communication style with clients and families, ways to manage caregiving stress, and how I keep patient information confidential.
The applicant applies, and then we do a phone interview to see if our goals and expectations align with theirs. If they do, we schedule an in-person or virtual appointment.
