Candidate-reported interview process
It was a 3 to 4 round process of case interviews. It started with a manager, then director, then partner. The cases were pretty structured, but they got less structured as I went higher up. Each interview was 45 minutes long: 30 minutes for the case, 10 minutes for behavioral questions, and 5 minutes for Q&A.
We had a first chat with HR to see if you'd be a good fit for the role, talk about your past work, what you're looking for salary-wise, what you'd bring to the team, and if you know anything about Alvarez and Marsal. It was a pretty relaxed and friendly conversation, and they also gave us a heads-up on what to expect in the next interview stages.
The interview process was very smooth and they kept me updated throughout. There were 3 rounds of interviews: HR, a motivational interview, and a case study which was quite difficult. There weren't many behavioral questions, which made it harder to prepare.
