The interview was tough, but I was ready for it. They didn't ask too many questions, but the ones they did ask were pretty complex. I was told I'd hear back in about two weeks, but it turns out they took some applicants to dinner instead of doing phone screens, and then offered the job to someone right after that dinner. They also didn't let me know I didn't get the position until two weeks after that, making it a full month since my interview. I had a good feeling about the company after the interview, but their follow-up actions seemed a bit shady and unprofessional.
I applied online from the Altria Website. A recruiter reached out via email within a few weeks to set up a preliminary phone screening which was 30min and entirely behavioral. The next day, I was called to schedule a second round interview onsite in Richmond the following week. I was contacted the day after the behavioral panel interview notifying me of the offer.
I went into a room with the head recruiter of the company. It felt professional but wasn't too intense. The recruiter asked me about myself and then moved on to the interview questions. The whole thing lasted about 40 minutes and felt like it went by fast. They didn't ask a lot of follow-up questions.
