Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process seemed a bit disorganized, with interviewers who appeared to be new to the role or domain. The questions were quite general, and it felt like there wasn't a strong intention to hire someone.

It was a pretty standard interview process. Started with a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager screen, and finally a panel interview with 3 leaders from different teams.

This was a manager role, but they really need senior leadership. The interview process took over 4 months and included 2 phone interviews and 2 in-person rounds where I met with department heads. Ultimately, they didn't move forward with my application, stating they wanted someone with more long-term strategic experience for growth, which seemed like they wanted an advanced solution that doesn't exist. The company seems to have a leadership gap and no one can really guide them.
