The application itself seemed outdated, requiring me to re-enter my work history and provide an excessive number of references. It was a very long process. I've applied to larger companies with simpler application procedures. The interview was welcoming, though a bit unprofessional, as they used a laminated sheet with prompts. The questions weren't challenging.
I went into the office and we chatted about the job and what they were looking for in a candidate. It was chill but still professional. They asked about my personality, how I collaborate, my job expectations, and my cash handling skills. I asked them about Bank of America's culture, what makes them enjoy working there, and the expected hours and pay. They outlined the training and potential raises tied to training. We also talked about how my school schedule at BYU might work out.
I had a phone chat with the manager first, and after she thought I was a good fit, I went in for an interview with all five managers I would be working with. A few days after that, I got the call with the offer. I later found out the only reason I got the job was my professional appearance, and that a few of the managers didn't even like me.
