I was contacted by a recruiter and was scheduled for a phone interview with a manager and a member of HR. The interviewers responded generally positively and said that I would hear from a recruiter regarding whether or not I was being offered a job. Two weeks later I received an automated email stating that the position I applied for was no longer available.
I applied on LinkedIn and the first step was a phone call where they asked about my projects and some C/C++ questions. After that, I had a face-to-face interview which included 3 rounds, a lunch interview, and an HR interview. There was also a written test covering C, C++, OS fundamentals, Data Structures, linked lists, multithreading, design patterns, and aptitude questions.
I applied online and went through two phone interviews. The first one was cut short because the manager couldn't find a meeting room. We also had some tech issues where the manager couldn't call my number directly, so I had to be patched through from their corporate office in Michigan. Because of this, I couldn't send a thank you note. I think the interview went well, but I never heard back, which was a bummer. I wish they'd at least let me know they weren't interested.
