The interview started with a welcoming atmosphere, and then the interviewer, who identified himself as an engineer, inquired about my background. I expressed my interest in an engineering role, highlighting my international training. However, he mentioned a preference for locally trained engineers, despite his own apparent international background and strong accent.
The interview process was pretty standard. First, they asked some questions and wanted me to talk more about what I've done on my resume. Then there were some technical questions. Lastly, they asked if I had any questions.
A recruiter reached out and set up the interview. They started by introducing themselves and talking about their work in EMEA. Then, they asked me to discuss my professional background. The goal was to find common ground and identify mutual benefits. Afterward, I had the chance to ask my own questions. I inquired about the company's differentiators from competitors, the superiority of their products, current market trends, and their competitive response strategies.
