First, a phone call with HR. Then, a take-home technical test with 4 SQL questions that get progressively harder. Finally, a live technical interview with a current engineer, focusing mostly on data engineering and analytics questions.

It was an in person process, with teams working together on problem solving under a time limit, and current employees were watching closely. They also did a technical interview with lots of engineering questions. They used these two interviews to decide if the candidate was a good fit.

In my last job as a support analyst, I had a customer whose application kept crashing. I started by trying to reproduce the problem myself in a test setup and then looked at the error logs. I figured out it was a memory leak, so I worked with the developers to fix it. After that, I tested the fix a lot to make sure it actually worked. Then I let the customer know how it was resolved, and they were happy with how fast and well I fixed it.
