Alnylam Manager interviews, decoded.

The interview process was all over the place. The person I spoke with was difficult to get a hold of. They said they would give me feedback after the interview, whether I moved on or not, but they never did.

I started with a call with a recruiter, then had interviews with the hiring manager and program director, which were mainly conversational about my background and goals. After that, I met with 5 other people I would be working with, in different roles. Those interviews were a mix of conversational and behavioral. Then, a role opened up on a different team for the same position, and I interviewed with that hiring manager. It all went well. In total, I had 9 interviews. I never heard back after following up multiple times, and found out the role was filled through a referral. No response was ever given.

We started with an HR screening, then I had an interview with the hiring manager. The last step was supposed to be a panel interview. The HR part was to see if I'd fit the culture and check my communication skills. The hiring manager focused on my technical abilities.
