Waited a bit. Had some simple questions from the regular staff, then a weird interview with the higher-ups. One of them was serious and acted kind of like a lawyer, very direct but asked odd questions that weren't about the actual job. The other one was all over the place. I got the feeling they expect people to dedicate their whole lives to this job.
I saw other reviews and couldn't believe them, so I applied. I had a good interview with the Associate Director of Development where we talked about their marketing funnel and how I could help. Then I met the CEO. She asked what the mission of Alley Cat Allies is and if I was an advocate for cats. I explained I use my fundraising skills to help the charity advocate for cats, and she mentioned most employees are advocates. She thanked me for my honesty and left without asking any job-related questions, which was disappointing because I know I could have helped them raise more funds.
I applied online and then got a call to schedule a first interview. In that interview, two director/manager level people shared more info about the role. After that, I had a second interview with higher-ups.
