AlixPartners Business Analyst interviews, decoded.

There were 3 people on the panel but only 2 showed up. I felt very uncomfortable with the way the Interviewer A was questioning me. He was very stern and took a very traditional approach in asking questions. The guy asked me some process and i wanted to explain it with an example but he insisted i do it the bookish way. I did not get good vibe all through the interview.

First a 30 min HR interview, then 2 competency interviews, one with a senior analyst and one with a manager (each 1 hour). They asked both technical and fit questions, including a case study and general macro trends.

Applied online. Had a 30-minute chat with HR. There were some number and word tests too. AlixPartners really digs deep with this part, it's super important. Then a 1-hour call with someone in the Business Analyst Program. After that, a 30-minute talk with a psychologist about how I work. Finally, a 1-hour case study with a senior person. Didn't make it past this because I didn't have enough work experience. This program is really for people with a few years of experience after college.
