The interview covered basics of CSE data structures and Java, Python, C, C++. It then went into Motors and Motor Types, Fundamental Theorems, Basic Electrical Laws, Digital Logic and Circuits, Basic Components and Electronics, Oscillators and Amplifiers, Memory Allocation in C, Networking Basics, Transformers and Power, Signal Processing, Microprocessors (8085), Boolean Algebra and Simplification, Mechanical and Electrical Terms, and Advanced Topics in Digital and Analog Electronics.
Had 3 questions, two leetcode hard and one leetcode easy. One was dynamic programming and another was two pointers. I only managed to solve one which is pretty bad, I really should have solved all the two pointers ones.
So for the Alibaba Software Engineer job, it was pretty technical and kinda set up. First, there was an online test with coding and algorithm stuff to see how I solve problems. If I passed that, I had a bunch of technical interviews with engineers. They really drilled down on data structures, algorithms, system design, and some hands-on coding. They also threw in some behavioral questions to check if I'm good with teamwork, talking to people, and if I'd fit in. The last interview was with a manager, which was more about the big picture – my past projects, how I make choices, and how I could help the team long-term. It was tough but organized, needed good prep and clear communication.
