It was a nice interview process; the interviewers were mostly locals, but they did assess Mandarin and English skills. They asked about my past experiences and reviewed my CV. It was an average interview process with an easygoing vibe, and everyone was quite chill.
The interviewers didn't turn on their cameras, which felt really weird since I had mine on. It made me feel like I was being interrogated at a police station. Some of the Chinese interviewers spoke Mandarin and didn't seem to understand English well.
There were about 3 to 4 rounds. The interviewers were nice and wanted to get a better sense of my background and values. They asked a few questions about my work style and methodology, and focused a lot on my past work experience.
