It was a group interview, and we did a mock cafe simulation. It was really fun, but also challenging if you're not outgoing. I tend to get nervous in stressful situations, but it got easier once the pressure was off.
I had a one hour in person interview with the store manager, and then did a skills assessment where I worked a mock one hour shift as a barista, and got a tour of the store.
After I applied, they gave me a call to set up an in-person interview. The interview was about 20-30 minutes of questions and chatting, then about 45 minutes of training. The interview questions were pretty standard for a customer service food/retail job. During the training part, they showed me how to prepare drinks and had me make and serve drinks to customers (was that free labor?).
