Candidate-reported interview process

It was a quick interview process with only two interviews over a few weeks. The first was a panel interview, and the second was with the head of the department. They seemed to know their stuff.

Got an email from someone at the company asking if I was still looking for a job. After I said yes, they told me I'd be considered and if I was in the top 3, I'd get an interview. Two days later, I got an email saying I had an interview in a week, which would be five 1-on-1 interviews lasting 1.5 hours. A little over two weeks after that, I got an email saying they went with someone else.

I started with a recruiter chat, then went through 4 panel interviews with R&D directors from different areas, and also had 2 chats with the hiring manager, one before the panels and one after. Each interview was about 45-60 minutes.
