Candidate-reported interview process

The hiring process was very professional, fast and smooth. HR contacted me to schedule a phone interview with the hiring manager, which was a casual talk where he explained the job description, company culture, and his team members, then asked a couple of questions about my resume. The next week, I received an email from the hiring manager inviting me for an on-site meeting. HR and the team provided transportation and accommodation. The on-site interview included 2 panel interviews and a plant tour, all using STAR questions. They were pretty difficult, but they made me feel relaxed and comfortable even though I was nervous. A week after that, HR contacted me with an offer by phone.

The interview process was very long and involved multiple interviewers. It was a 4-hour interview and they didn't even offer water. I was told I would get an offer and they were just waiting for one person who was out of town to sign off, but the offer never came.

The interviewers were really nice and they finished everything up in about 30 minutes. I initially thought it would just be a casual chat with two people, but it ended up being a bit more formal than I expected.
