I went for an interview for an accounting intern position at the Albertsons distribution center in Roanoke. About a month before the in-person interview, which lasted around 20 minutes, they had me complete an assessment with some questions. If they liked my assessment, I was invited for the in-person interview. They asked typical interview questions. I never heard back from them after the interview, and it's been four months now. It's unprofessional not to send a quick email to let candidates know they weren't selected instead of ghosting them. Albertsons should improve this process for future candidates, and if you're looking for an internship, consider a more professional company.
