The interview process consisted of two interviews. The first was a Zoom interview with the lab PI. The second was an in-person lab tour where I met the assistants and the other PI. This second interview felt more personal and included more industry-style questions.
The first meeting was with two grad students who work in the lab. They mainly asked about my research experience and a few other typical interview questions. The second meeting was with the PI of the lab. The PI was very relaxed and mostly just asked about my research experience and career goals.
It was an informative interview process. The staff were very great and skilled. The whole process took about a month. The interviewers were helpful and answered all my questions. Each interview was about an hour long. Overall, it was a pretty pleasant experience.
