Great interview experience, I learned a lot about the company's functions and what to expect. This was my first interview, and I gained valuable experience for future interviews.
I applied online and then the recruiter emailed me to schedule a phone call. We had the call on the date and time we'd agreed on. The recruiter started by telling me about the job, which she called a 'global compensation role'. I told her I applied for a global benefits role, but she insisted it was a compensation role. After about a minute, she realized her mistake and we continued the call. Honestly, I had lost interest by then and just went through the motions, mentioning that the salary seemed low for the role's scope and location. I know everyone makes mistakes, but it felt like the recruiter wasn't prepared and hadn't even looked at my resume. It was pretty embarrassing.
It was a standard job interview where teamwork is key. There were some technical questions at the end after explaining the process, to check candidates' quick thinking.
