Candidate-reported interview process

I had a bunch of 1:1 meetings with designers and PMs. I also gave a portfolio presentation, which was way better than doing some random case study. The recruiter was super clear on what to expect, so it went really smoothly and I felt ready.

I had a first 30 minute chat with a product designer. I answered common background questions and showed them a portfolio piece. Then, I got a design challenge to finish in a week. Finally, I presented my solution to two designers over video.

I had a brief one-on-one interview. The interviewer seemed really nervous and kept stammering. He didn't seem to be able to hold a conversation, and I think it impacted how he saw me because he was just focused on getting his questions out. I can't speak for the company, but the interview was pretty bad.
