I got an email from the manager to do a quick phone screen, which went well. Since it's a new position, the manager told me about the job responsibilities. After that, they asked if I was still interested in an interview. It was scheduled two weeks later. I had an interview on Teams with three interviewers, and it went well. They were friendly and knew their stuff. Later, I got an email saying I wasn't selected to move forward.
The interview process was really disorganized and confusing sometimes. The first phone screen was okay, but a lot of it was put together last minute. When I asked for more info about the job, the answers were pretty vague. My recruiter set up the second interview without checking if I was free, and I didn't get much info about what it would cover. It felt like I was totally in the dark before and during the second interview, not knowing what they were looking for, just guessing based on the job description. To help candidates do better, Alameda Alliance needs to be more respectful, prepared, and clear in their interview process. It was chaotic for me.
The interview process was good. It was an in-person interview and the questions were straightforward. The interviewers were helpful and I enjoyed the process. The interviewer asked a few questions and I was able to ask questions about the company and position.
