Candidate-reported interview process

It was a super long and tough interview process, like it took about 3 months to finish. Seriously, by the end, I was starting to second-guess if I even wanted the job and was looking elsewhere. The interviews went through different teams, including the manager and director I'd be working with daily. All the questions were pretty on-point for the job, and there were tons of behavioral ones mixed in.

Applied and got an HR interview pretty quickly. This was followed by a technical interview with the hiring manager. Then I had a technical assignment and a follow-up review with the hiring manager. After that, there was radio silence for about 6 weeks. I eventually reached out saying I was withdrawing my application, and only then did they respond saying they chose an internal candidate. Honestly, not a company worth the effort.

Overall, alright experience. There seems to be a mismatch in what the recruiter communicated to me vs what the hiring manager is looking for. They expected a proper go-to-market strategy from candidates in the second interview but unwilling to compensate for the time and effort that goes into building it.
