It was a 3-step process. First, I met with the HR manager to discuss my background and the company. Then, I spoke with the Hiring Manager about the specific role, what's expected, and the team. The final step involved a presentation where I had to do a customer adoption review using a scenario and show basic platform features. Preparation is key, and all the interviewers were amazing. The HR manager did a great job keeping me updated.
The interview process was pretty standard, starting with a screening call with the hiring manager. Then there was a multi-step second interview with another hiring manager, a mock EBR, and a product walkthrough with an implementation consultant. After that, they contacted my references, and then I had a final call with the head of the department. I thought they required an unreasonable amount of work though, especially contacting references before a final decision.
So, first I had a chat with the recruiter to see if I was a good fit. Then, the hiring manager gave me a call. After that, I had two exercises to complete, one about soft skills and another about the product. Then, I had another call with the hiring manager to check my personality and how coachable I am. Finally, I met with the director of the team to check if I fit in. The whole process was super clear and fast, and everyone I met was smart, professional, and really nice. Honestly, this was the best interview experience I've had with startups, and I've interviewed with a bunch of them from Series C to F.
