I applied for this position back in December 2017 and have applied about 4-5 times over the years. I finally got a call for an interview in April 2018. The interview was a 1.5 hour session and focused on logic and strategic thinking.
The overall interview process was acceptable, with the exception of the final stage where my expected salary was discussed. My salary expectation exceeded their stated range. The hiring manager's questioning, such as 'why do you think you worth that price' and 'don't you think its too high for that increment?', felt offensive and implied I overrated myself. Her facial expressions suggested I was worthless. This part made me agitated. If they cannot offer the desired salary, they should state it directly instead of reacting negatively, which is disrespectful and rude.
So, I had an interview with the hiring manager and the HR manager. Then there were 4 people in a panel interview. It was a pretty standard interview, asking questions about myself, my experience, how I work, what I like, and my past jobs.
